Grant Proposals

• Assisted my PhD advisor in writing a grant proposal on the topic, “Design, fabrication, and testing of novel medical facemasks to prevent the spread of COVID–19 and future contagious diseases”. The grant was awarded on 14 December 2020 by the State of Alabama, Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) in the amount of $ 75,374. This funding created a research assistant (RA) position in my lab for a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering.

• Grant proposal funded on 7 May 2022 for “Manufacturing, characterization and computational analysis of composite filament fabricated for 3D printing of fabrics” by the Interdisciplinary Center for Advanced Manufacturing Systems (ICAMS) research center. The amount it covered was $ 10,600. This was Graduate Student-Defined Research Award.
